You are listening to audio samples from Dois no Choro's CDs: Carinhoso,  Juntos, and Asa Branca. While the "Carinhoso" CD is currently sold out, "Juntos" and "Asa Branca" are available for purchase. Please click below for purchasing information.

Juntos (Jazzmin Music, 2002) partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, received two first-round nominations in the 2003 Latin Grammy Awards ("Best Album" and "Best Brazilian Roots"). It is the only U.S. recording to include the participation of legendary choro flutist Altamiro Carrilho, and pianist, Maria Teresa Madeira.

The title track, by Paulinho Garcia, received third place "honorable mention" in the 2001 Chorando no Rio Competition in Rio de Janeiro for best new choro compositions of the year. "Juntos" was the only U.S. applicant in a pool of 242 Brazilian and 1 Australian and is published in the commemorative book.

Asa Branca (Laughing Buddha Music, 2008) partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, has special guest appearances by Julien Labro (accordion, bandoneon); Linda Binder (mandolin) and Heitor Garcia (percussion).

10% of the proceeds from our CD will be donated to the Dreams Can Be Foundation to support the Instituto Reciclarte Project, a project helping to educate Brazilian children.
